Product Description

Etomidate is an ultra-short-acting non-barbiturate intravenous general anesthetic that is allowed to be used in my country. It is also known as benzylic acid, pyrimidine ph enol and ethylimidate. It is an imidazole derivative and has a white crystalline powder appearance. Melting point is 115ºC, Chemicalbook is easily soluble in water, meth anol, ethanol and propy lene glycol, easily soluble in chloro form, insoluble in acet one and insoluble in ether. The effect on the central nervous system is similar to that of barbiturates. It has a strong hypnotic effect, its efficacy is about 12 times that of thiop ental sodium, and it has no analgesic effect.
