Glyphosate is an organophosphate herbicide. It is a non-selective endo-conductive stem and leaf treatment herbicide developed by Monsanto in the early 1970s and is commonly used as  salt or sodium salt. Its salt is the active ingredient in Roundup, a well-known herbicide brand. Glyphosate is an efficient, low toxicity, broad-spectrum herbicide with endogenic conduction.
