Toxicity
Acute oral LD50: 1250 mg/kg rats
MSMA is especially toxic to ruminants.
Acute oral LD50 to cattle is 250 mg/kg.
Acute dermal LD50: > 2500 mg/kg rats
Acute inhalation LC50 (technical): > 20 mg//4 hours in rats
Skin irritation: Mild irritant.
Eye irritation: Mild irritant.

Other Effects:
Animal studies did not detect teratogenic effects and mutagenic effects.
Arsenic and soluble arsenic compounds are classified as Class 1 carcinogens by NOHSC and IARC.

Application
A selective systemic herbicide for the control of Rottboellia exaltata, annual grasses, nutsedges and certain broadleaf weeds in cotton, lawns and sugar cane for total weed control in industrial areas.
