Sorte 1: Reines Titan, relativ geringe Festigkeit und hohe Duktilität.

Grad 2: Das am  häufigsten verwendete reine Titan.  Die beste Kombination aus Festigkeit, Schweißbarkeit.

Sorte 3: Hochfestes  Titan, verwendet für Matrix-Platten in Schalen - und Rohrwärmetauschern  .

Grad 5: Die am meisten hergestellte Titanlegierung .  Extrem hohe Festigkeit. Hohe Hitzebeständigkeit .

Grad 7: Überlegene Korrosionsbeständigkeit  in reduzierenden und oxidierenden Umgebungen.

Sorte 9: Sehr hohe Festigkeit und Korrosionsbeständigkeit .

Grad 12: Bessere Hitzebeständigkeit  als reines Titan.  Anwendungen wie Grade  7 und Grade  11.

Sorte 23: Titan-6Aluminum- 4Vanadium ELI.  Legierung für chirurgische Implantatapplikation .
