Product Description
CFS-S437 is a unique, newly developed silane coupling agent that enables improved performance in many applications such as compositions containing epoxy resins or phenolic resins. Unlike typical primary amino groups, the ketimine functional group of CFS-S437 is a protected amine that does not react with most epoxides, acidic groups, or phenols. However, in the presence of moisture, the ketimine functional group readily generates a free primary amine that will react with epoxides, acidic groups, and phenols. The latent reactivity of this protected amine makes CFS-S437 an ideal coupling agent for many one-component systems in which exposure to ambient moisture quickly and easily provides a highly reactive coupling agent.
