Rebar is mainly used in the skeleton of reinforced concrete building components, which requires certain welding
performance,mechanical strength and bending deformation performance in use. The raw material billet of rebar steel is carbon structural steel or low alloy structural steel treated by calm melting, which mainly bears tensile stress in concrete, and the rebar steel can better bear the action of external force due to the greater bond capacity with concrete due to the action of rib.

Production process introduction
The main technological process of rebar steel production is as follows: blast furnace molten iron → converter (electric furnace) →refining outside the furnace → billet continuous casting → sizing → warehousing → steel rolling furnace → bar mill → controlled rolling and cooling → cold bed → sizing shear → collection and baling → weighing → listing and warehousing, as shown in Figure 1.1. The typical production process of rebar enterprises can be roughly divided into three main areas according to the degree of close connection between various processes: iron making area, main steel refining area and finishing area.

At present, the standard of rebar implementation in China is GB1499.2-2023, which is divided into ordinary hot rolled steel bar and fine grain hot rolled steel bar. According to the standard definition, ordinary hot rolled steel bars are delivered in a hot rolled state. Its metallographic structure is mainly ferrite and pearlite, and no other structure affecting its performance is allowed. Fine grain hot rolled steel bar refers to the fine grain steel bar formed by controlled rolling and controlled cooling process in the hot rolling process. The metallographic structure is mainly ferrite and pearlite, and no other microstructure affecting the service performance is allowed. The grain size is not thicker than 9 grade.
