Colorless to light yellow liquid. The boiling point of 123 ºC (4000 pa).Sour gas, sweet and sour fruit, syrup and wood.It's found naturally in strawberries. Slightly soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether, chloroform and carbon disulfide.
