1. HENGDA-E7083 is a monomeric medium-chain alkylfunctional silane.

HENGDA-E7083 is a clear colourless liquid and soluble in common non-polar organic solvents (e.g. petroleum ether, toluene). However its low volatility and viscosity make HENGDA-E7083 an easy-to-handle additive. During the hydrolysis reaction between water and HENGDA-E7083 a certain amount of methanol (VOC) is released.

HENGDA-E7083  silane can be used as a surface modifier to generate hydrophobicity on inorganic fillers and pigments. The medium-chain alkyl functionality results in unique compound properties when HENGDA-E7083 treated minerals or pigments are incorporated into polymers, e.g. polyethylene or polypropylene. Loading levels of 0.5 to 1.5wt.% HENGDA-E7083 based on the weight of filler or pigment are typically recommended.

Applications:

1. It can be used as a surface modifier to generate hydrophobicity (e.g. on concrete, glass, inorganic pigment, or mineral fillers).
2. It can formulate water-repellent products When diluted with an appropriate solvent. Upon proper application, the formulated product will penetrate and provide waterproofing performance.
3. It chemically reacts with cementitious substrate. Treated substrates are hydrophobic and retain their original appearance.

Reactivity:

Because of its unique structure, HENGDA-E7083 exhibits hydrophobicity on substrates and forms weather-and moisture-
resistant bonds to substrates as well. Use of HENGDA-E7083 results in: compatibility improvements between pigments or inorganic fillers and organic polymers or solvents, allowing easy pigment(e.g. iron oxides or titanium dioxide) or mineral filler
(e.g. ATH, MDH) dispersion.

Storage and shelf life:

1. HENGDA-E7083  is supplied in 25 kg,200 kg drums and 1000kg IBC containers.
2. HENGDA-E7083 must be stored with exclusion of moisture.
3. In the unopened container HHENGDA-E7083 has a shelf life of min.12 months from delivery.
