L'oxytétracycline Hydrochloride est le sel chlorhydrate sous forme de   l'oxytétracycline , un     dérivé tetracyclin e produits par Streptomyces rimosus présentant une activité antimicrobienne. L'oxytétracycline hydrochloride interfère avec la liaison de l'aminoacyl-tRNA à la complexe ARNM-ribosome, empêchant ainsi l'allongement et de peptide inhibant la synthèse protéique. Il est souvent utilisé pour traiter de la peau.
