Introduction to carbon fiber

Carbon fiber (CF) is a new type of fiber material with high strength and high modulus fiber with carbon content of more than 95%. The microstructure of carbon fiber is similar to artificial graphite, which is a disordered graphite structure and shows high strength along the fiber axis.

Characteristics of carbon fiber

Advantage:

1. Carbon fiber can be divided into:

Polyacrylonitrile based carbon fiber, pitch based carbon fiber, viscose based carbon fiber, phenolic based carbon fiber and vapor grown carbon fiber.
