Basic Uses
GUIBAO 1099 High Performance Silicone Structural Glazing Sealant is designed for
  1. Structural sealing and glazing for the curtain walls of high-rise buildings and skyscrapers
  2. Structural sealing and glazing of large-sized glass panel curtain walls
  3. Structural sealing and glazing irregular glass curtain walls
Features
  1. Excellent tensile strength and extension/compression capability, ideally suited for high rise curtain walls and skyscrapers, glass and aluminum curtain walls, steel structure curtain walls, etc.
  2. Neutral cure, non-corrosive to the surfaces to be bonded
  3. Excellent weatherability
  4. Excellent stability over temperature range from -50ºC to +150ºC
  5. Excellent unprimed adhesion to a wide range of substrates

S torage and Shelf Life
GUIBAO 1099 should be stored in original unopened   containers. It has a shelf life of 12 months from the date   of manufacture .

Surface Preparation
Clean all joints removing all foreign matter and contaminants such as oil, grease, dust, water, frost, old sealants, surface dirt, or glazing compounds and protective coatings.
Application Method
Install back-up materials or joint fillers, setting blocks, spacer shims, and tapes. Mask areas adjacent to joints to ensure neat sealant lines. Primer is generally not required for non-porous surfaces, but may be necessary for optimal seal performance of certain porous surfaces. So adhesion test is always recommended.

Apply GUIBAO 1099 in a continuous operation using dispensing guns. Before a skin forms, tool the sealant with light pressure to spread the sealant against the backing materials and joint surfaces. Remove masking tape as soon as the bead is tooled.

Limitations
GUIBAO 1099 should not be applied: 
  1. To the materials that bleed oils, plasticizers orsolvents, such as impregnated wood, oil-based caulks 
  2. In totally confined spaces as sealant requires atmospheric moisture for cure 
  3. To frost laden or damp surfaces 
  4. For continuous water immersion
  5. When surface temperature below 4ºC or over 50ºC

Safety Information
  1. GUIBAO 1099 is a chemical product, not edible, no implantation into body and should be kept away from children. 
  2. Cured silicone rubber can be handled without any risk to health. 
  3. Should uncured silicone sealant contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical
  4. treatment if irritation persists. 
  5. Avoid prolonged exposure of skin to uncured silicone sealant. 
  6. Good ventilation is necessary for work and cure places.
