Product Description

Proglumine is one of the earliest discovered gastrin antagonists, and both it and benzotript are glutaramicacid derivatives. proglumide is also a racemic compound called (±) -5-dipropyl amino-4-benzoylamino-5-oxy-valeric acid. It is included in page 96Chemicalbook, Part II, 2000 Edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia. It is an antagonist of gastrin receptor. The chemical structure was similar to that of the terminal terminal of gastrin (G-17) and cholecystokinin (CCK). Its functional group amide-group specificity competes with gastrin for gastrin receptor on parietal cells, so it can significantly inhibit the secretion of gastric acid and pepsin caused by gastrin, but has no obvious effect on the secretion of gastric acid caused by histamine and vagus nerve stimulation.
Indication:  For gastric and duodenal ulcers, gastritis (such as chronic superficial gastritis) and bulbar duodenitis.
Pharmacological effect:  This product is an antagonist for cholecystokinin receptor and gastrin receptor, and its molecular structure is similar to the terminal molecular structure of gastrin (G-17) and cholecystokinin (CCK). Therefore, the functional group amide can specifically compete with G-17 for the G-17 receptor on parietal cells, and significantly inhibit the secretion of gastric acid and pepsin caused by G-17. Increase the content of hexaminosaccharide in gastric Chemicalbook mucosa, promote glycoprotein synthesis, protect gastric mucosa, and thus improve the symptoms of peptic ulcer and promote the healing of ulcer. The inhibitory effect of this product on gastric acid secretion caused by histamine and vagus nerve stimulation is not obvious, the gastric acid secretion rebound phenomenon does not occur in the treatment of peptic ulcer and gastritis, and the gastric acid secretion can still be at the normal level for half a year after termination of treatment.
Drug interaction:
1. Combined with other anti-ulcer drugs (such as H2 receptor antagonists), it can enhance the effect of inhibiting gastric acid secretion and accelerate the healing of ulcer.
2. In combination with morphi-ne, the analgesic effect of Chemicalbook brown can be enhanced and its duration prolonged.
3. This product can antagonize the action of haloperidol to aggravate movement disorders, so the two cannot be used together in the treatment of Huntington's disease.
