Natural Passionflower Extract for Anti-Anxiety
Introduction:
Passionflower has neurosedative properties, including mild sedative and anti-anxiety properties. In trials conducted in the 1930s, its mode of action was found to be different from that of most sedatives (hypnotics), making it a class of non-additive herbal medicines that promote relaxation. Passionflower's sedative properties have made it popular for treating a variety of ailments, including nervousness and insomnia. Studies point to the complex effects of passionflower on the central nervous system (CNS), which may be responsible for its general neuroleptic effects.
