Eribulin (eribulin) is a derivative of the macrolide halichondrinB, a chemically active substance derived from the marine organism sponge Halichondriaokadai. Its medicinal mechanism of action is to inhibit mitosis by binding directly to microtubule proteins, and to exert therapeutic effects by inhibiting microtubule growth and inhibiting the growth of cancer cells.
