It combines the strength and formability of steel with the corrosion resistance, solderability and aesthetic appearance of tin in a material with corrosion resistance, non-toxicity, high strength and good ductility.

The tin used for tinplate is high-purity tin (SN > 99.8%). The tin layer can also be coated by hot-dip method. The tin layer of the tinplate obtained by this method is thick, the amount of tin is large, and there is no need for purification treatment after tin plating.
