Levoceitrizine Dihydrochloride is the R-isomer of cetirizine hydrochloride and a new generation of highly effective non-sedative antihistamine. Its affinity for H1 receptor is twice that of cetirizine hydrochloride, and its effective dose is 1/2 that of Cetirizine hydrochloride. Clinical results show that it has more advantages than loratadine, epasteine, midazolastine and Fesofiladine hydrochloride. Levoceitrizine Dihydrochloride retains the characteristics of cetirizine's rapid onset, safety and effectiveness, and the dosage is reduced to 5mg/ day. In vivo and in vitro studies, levocetirizine has a good histamine antagonism, can inhibit the release of various inflammatory mediators related to allergic reactions, and has a wide range of anti-inflammatory effects. Levoceitrizine Dihydrochloride is a new generation of H1 receptor antagonist that was developed in the early 21st century. Application of Levoceitrizine Dihydrochloride
Levcetirizine hydrochloride is the L-R-enantiomer of cetirizine hydrochloride, a new generation of highly effective
non-sedative antihistamine, and the active ingredient of cetirizine. It is highly selective to H1 receptors (K1=3.2nmol/L)
and twice as selective as cetirizine (K1= 6.3nmol/L), and can competitively antagonize H1 receptors. It has no
obvious anti-choline and anti-serotonin effects, and has little central inhibition effect. It can effectively inhibit
the accumulation of eosinophils and inhibit the migration and chemotaxis of eosinophils induced by allergen.
It is a highly efficient and selective peripheral H1 receptor antagonist, which has been shown to have good
antihistamine effects in vivo and in vitro experiments. At the same time, it can inhibit the release of inflammatory
mediators related to allergy and play an anti-inflammatory role.
