What is Capecitabine Powder  ?

Capecitabine is an orally-administered chemotherapeutic agent used in the treatment of metastatic breast and colorectal cancers. Capecitabine is a prodrug, that is enzymatically converted to fluorouracil (antimetabolite) in the tumor, where it inhibits DNA synthesis and slows growth of tumor tissue.

 

 

Fuction and Application of  Capecitabine

Capecitabine is an orally-administered chemotherapeutic agent used in the treatment of metastatic
breast and colorectal cancers. Capecitabine, as a novel oral fluoropyrimidine drug, is converted to 5-FU
by three-step enzyme chain reaction in vivo and acts on tumor cells. Its curative effect is significantly
related to the expression level of TPase in tumor tissues and DPD enzyme in vivo. The high expression
of TP in tumor tissue leads to the differential gradient of drug between tumor tissue and normal tissue,
thus achieving the relatively selective tumor killing effect.
