           Thrust bearings are divided into thrust ball bearings and thrust roller bearings.Thrust ball bearings are further divided into thrust ball bearings and thrust angular contact ball bearings.
           The raceway ring matched with the shaft is composed of a washer with a raceway, a ball and a cage assembly, and the raceway ring matched with the shaft is called a shaft washer, and the raceway ring matched with the housing is called a seat ring.
The rolling elements of thrust ball bearings are spherical, and the rings have corresponding R-shaped grooves. This bearing can withstand axial loads, but not radial loads. Because the rolling element is spherical, the friction force with the diameter of the raceway is small, so it can be adapted to the occasion of high working speed.
           The rolling elements of thrust roller bearings are cylindrical, conical or spherical roller types.
Mainly bear axial load, conical type and spherical roller type, can bear a certain axial load. Because of the large contact area between the rolling element and the raceway, the thrust roller bearing is correspondingly larger than the thrust ball bearing, and because the limit speed is lower than that of the thrust ball bearing, it is suitable for the occasions that bear heavier axial loads and lower speeds.
            Two-way bearings fit the middle ring to the shaft. One-way bearing can bear one-way axial load, and two-way bearing can bear two-way axial load. Bearings with a spherical mounting surface of the seat ring have self-aligning performance, which can reduce the influence of mounting errors. Such bearings are mainly used in automobile steering mechanisms and machine tool spindles.
            Thrust roller bearings are divided into thrust cylindrical roller bearings, thrust spherical roller bearings, thrust tapered roller bearings, thrust needle roller bearings. Thrust cylindrical roller bearings are mainly used in oil drilling rigs, iron and steel machinery. Thrust spherical roller bearings are mainly used in hydraulic generators, vertical motors, propeller shafts for ships, tower cranes, extruders, etc.
