GPPS is soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, aliphatic ketones and esters. It is resistant to some mineral oils, organic acids, bases, salts, low-level alcohols and their aqueous solutions. Low water absorption, can still maintain its mechanical properties and dimensional stability in wet environment. Excellent electrical performance, high volume resistance and surface resistance, and not affected by temperature, humidity changes, also not affected by corona discharge. Radiation resistance is also very good. The main disadvantages of GPPS are brittle and easy to crack, low impact strength, poor heat resistance, can not withstand boiling water, can only be used at lower temperature and lower load.
