Paraffin is a mixture of hydrocarbons extracted from certain distillates of petroleum, shale oil or other bituminous mineral oils and is mainly composed of solid alkanes, odourless and tasteless, as a white or pale yellow translucent solid. Paraffin is a mixture of n-chain saturated alkanes of different molecular weights, which can be expressed by the general formula CnH2n+2. According to the physical state of paraffin wax, it can be divided into three categories: liquid paraffin wax, solid paraffin wax and microcrystalline wax.

1.Candle production like molding, dipping, drawing, extrusion/pressing.

2.Polishes to improve buff ability, to provide solvent binding and solvent retention properties.

3.Rubber and Tires as mould release agents, plasticizers and lubricants in rubber  blends.
