Slightly sour. PH value: strong acid, the pH value of 0.1% (weight ratio) aqueous solution is 2.6. The sodium salt solution is neutral. It is stable at room temperature, but its aqueous solution must be added with a polymerization inhibitor to prevent its self-polymerization. Flash point: 160°C; melting point: 195°C

(The following uses are for reference only) The product has polymerizable vinyl and hydrophilic sulfonic acid groups in the molecule, and can be combined with water-soluble monomers such as  non-water-soluble monomers such as styrene . Copolymerization. The introduction of hydrophilic sulfonic acid groups in the polymer makes the fibers, films, etc. hygroscopic, water-permeable and conductive.
