2-Phenoxyethanol

Application : Phenoxyethanol can be used as fixing agent, insect repellent, external disinfectant, cellulose acetate solvent, dye, ink, resin, preservative and other medical uses in perfume. In addition, it is also used as an anesthetic for fish in aquaculture. Phenoxyethanol has good solubility and miscibility. It is often used as a diluent for perfumes. It is a better solvent and penetrant aid for hair dye and nail varnish, a solvent and modifier for ink, ball pen oil and a penetrant for ink pad. Phenoxyethanol has a specific bacteriostatic effect on Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and has bacteriostatic effect on both gram-positive and negative bacteria. Because of its solubility in water, white mineral oil, isopropyl palmitic acid vinegar and other cosmetic components. In addition, it is highly effective, broad-spectrum, low toxic and non allergic (2.2% aqueous solution is non irritating to the skin), so it is widely used in cosmetic creams and shampoo.
