Basic Information
GH4698 is a nickel-based superalloy reinforced by elements such as aluminum, titanium, molybdenum, and niobium. It is developed by supplementary alloying on the basis of GH4033 alloy. performance. The alloy is widely used in the manufacture of important load-bearing parts such as turbine discs, compressor discs, guide vanes, and load-bearing rings of aero-engines. The working temperature can reach 750ºC~800ºC.
1.1, has the following characteristics
has high lasting strength
Good overall performance
long-term use of tissue stability
Suitable for important load-bearing parts such as aero-engine turbine disks, compressor disks, guide vanes, and load-bearing rings that are suitable for long-term use below 750~800ºC
1.2, application field
Due to its high lasting strength below 500~800ºC, it can be widely used in various high-demanding occasions.

Machining and Heat Treating
4.1. Metallographic structure
After solution treatment, the alloy is composed of γ matrix and MC-type carbides and M5B4-type borides. The microstructure after standard heat treatment consists of a γ matrix and two sizes of spherical γ' phases, MC, M23C6 carbides and M5B4 type borides.
4.2. Process performance and requirements
1. The heat deformation heating temperature of the alloy is 1160~1180ºC, the optimal plastic temperature range is 1160~1000ºC, and the maximum deformation amount at one time is 50%. Large-size die forging requires the use of wrapping die forging.
2. The average grain size of the alloy is closely related to the deformation degree and final forging temperature of the forging.
3. The alloy adopts vacuum induction melting plus vacuum arc remelting or vacuum induction melting plus electroslag remelting process. Similar foreign alloys use non-vacuum furnace melting and vacuum arc remelting process.
