Chemical Name : Ethylene-Methyl Acrylate Copolymer
From ethylene and methyl acrylate as raw materials, oxygen or peroxide as initiator, high pressure heating polymerization. Can be blown into film for disposable gloves, medicine and food packaging; Extruded hoses and profiles; Blow molding toys; Foaming foam sheet, etc.

Ethylene - methyl-acrylate copolymer (EMAC) : It is the most thermally stable of all high pressure α-olefin copolymers. Whether as a single material or admixture, EMAC is used in films, extruded adhesives, and sheets. There are many applications in molding, blow molding, pipe extrusion and co-extrusion.

It can be filled with more than 50% filler without affecting its elasticity, and is compatible with all polyolefin resins, so it can be used as a matrix resin for master materials.

The film has a softness similar to latex rubber and is suitable for disposable gloves and certain medical supplies.

Product Applications

EMAC meets food packaging requirements according to FDA and USDA regulations. EMAC has also been approved as a heat seal and food surface contact material for aseptic packaging using hydrogen peroxide sanitary washings. The material also meets USP Class VI standards for medical use. EMAC resins, when incinerated, do not release unpleasant substances such as halogens.

 
The surface turbidity of EMAC film is higher than that of typical homopolymer LDPE. This property, along with its latex rubber-like softness, makes it suitable for use as disposable gloves and certain medical supplies.
 
EMAC is a good extruded adhesive and extruded laminating resin. This is due to its natural good thermal stability, adhesion to commonly used substrates, hot fusion and RF fusion properties, and can be processed on a device designed for LDPE.
 
EMAC resin is usually co-extruded with ring and plane film die heads to form a hot-melt bonding layer on the matrix. Or USED as a bonding layer TO improve THE adhesion OF POLYOLEFIN, iONOMER, POLYESTER, polyester, EVA, PVDC, EAA, OPET, OPP, ETC.
 
The hose and sections have excellent stress fracture resistance and low temperature impact strength. Foam sheet can be used for meat or food packaging.
 

EMACN IS used as a blend component with LDPE, polypropylene, polyester, NYLON and polycarbonate to improve impact strength and toughness, enhance hot melt bonding, improve adhesion, reduce stiffness and increase surface friction coefficient.

The resin should be stored in a drafty, dry warehouse and away from fire and direct sunlight. It should not be piled up in the open air.

During transportation, the product should not be exposed to strong sunlight or rain and should not be transported together with sand, soil, scrap metal, coal or glass. Transportation together with toxic, corrosive and flammable substance is strictly prohibited.
