Brief introduction
Tris HCl, also known as Tris hydroxymethyl aminomethane hydrochloride. Tris HCl buffer solution is not only widely used as a solvent for nucleic acids and proteins, but also has many important applications.
Application
Tris HCl is used for protein crystal growth under different pH conditions. The low ionic strength of Tris HCL buffer can be used to form the intermediate fibers of the chemicalbook of the lamin of C. elegans. Tris HCl is also one of the main components of protein electrophoresis buffer. In addition, Tris HCL is also an intermediate for preparing surfactants, vulcanization accelerators, and some drugs. Tris HCl is also used as a titration standard.
Preparation of buffer solution
A Tris HCl buffer solution with a concentration of 6.057g/L and pH=8.8 was prepared by adjusting the pH value of Chemicalbook using trihydroxymethylaminomethane hydrochloride as the solute and deionized water as the solvent.
