Ginkgo is Deciduous large trees, 30 ~ 40 meters high, the whole plant hairless, DBH up to 4 meters, young tree bark nearly smooth, light gray, the tree bark gray brown, irregular longitudinal cracks, long branches and slow growth from short branches. Leaves alternate, radially scattered on long branches, 3-5 in clusters on short branches, slender petioles, scalloped, both surfaces pale green, more or less notched or 2-lobed at broad apex margin, 5-8(~ 15) cm wide, with many forked veins.
