Description
Pal-GHK (also called palmitoyl tripeptide-1 and palmitoyl oligopeptide) is a synthetic peptide known for its effects
on collagen, skin health, and skin pigment. It is currently under
investigation for its ability to boost collagen synthesis
in animal models as well as for its
ability to stimulate blood vessel growth.
Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 is a signal peptide composed of three amino acids, with the amino acid sequence of Glycine-Histidine-
Lysine (GHK). GHK adheres to palmitic acid (a fatty acid) to improve skin water permeability and oil solubility. Immediately
applying palmitoyl tripeptide-1 to the skin can stimulate body cells to produce more and upgraded collagen. It must be at
least a month or more before it can begin to see visible changes in new collagen.
Palmitoyl tripeptide-1 has an effect on the production of collagen, fibronectin, and hyaluronic acid in human skin fibroblasts,
and can be used to delay the preparation of aging cosmetics.
