Description:  Span 80 is yellow oily liquid, can be dispersed in warm water and ethanol, soluble in liquid paraffin, ethanol and other organic solvents, HLB=4.3, often used as emulsifier of water-in-oil emulsion. It is mainly used as solubilizer or emulsifier for injection and oral solution; dispersant for capsule; emulsifier and base for ointment; base for suppository, etc. It is used as emulsifier in food industry.
Application:  1, insoluble in water, soluble in hot oil and organic solvents, is a senior lipophilic emulsifier.
2 ,Used in W/O type emulsion explosives, nylon and viscose cord oiling agent, has good smoothing effect on fiber. Used in machinery, coatings, chemicals, explosives emulsification. Used as emulsifier in oil drilling aggravated mud; used as emulsifier in food and cosmetic production; used as dispersant in paint and coating industry; used as stabilizer in titanium dioxide production; used as insecticide, wetting agent and emulsifier in pesticide production; used as co-solvent in petroleum products; also used as antirust agent of antirust oil. Used as lubricant and softener for textile and leather.
3,As anti-droplet agent of film, it has good initial and low temperature anti-droplet property, the dosage is 1-1.5% in PVC and 0.5-0.7% in polyolefin.
