Schisandra chinensis (Turcz.) Baill or Schisandra sphenanthera Rehd. Et Wils. For the famous Chinese medicine, the fruit contains Schisandrin C23H3206 and vitamin C, resin, tannin and a small amount of sugar. It has the effect of collecting lung and relieving cough, nourishing the astringent and stopping diarrhea. Its leaves and fruit can be extracted from aromatic oil. Seed kernel contains fat oil, oil can be used as industrial raw material, lubricating oil. The stem fiber is flexible and can be used for rope.
