Description:

The chemical name of terlipressin is triglycylamide lysine in sulin, which is a new type of synthetic long-acting angiogenic preparation. It is a prodrug, which is inactive by itself. After removing the 3 glycine substitution residues at its N-terminal, it slowly "releases" active lysine plus Therefore, terlipressin is equivalent to a reservoir that can release lysine vasopressin at a stable rate.

Usage:

N-(N-(N-Glycylglycyl)glycyl)-8-L-lysinevasopressin is an analogue of vasopressin used as a vasoactive drug in the management of hypotension. N-(N-(N-Glycylglycyl)glycyl)-8-L-lysinevasopressin is used norepinephrine-resistant septic shock and hepatorenal syndrome. N-(N-(N-Glycylglycyl)glycyl)-8-L-lysinevasopressin is also used in the treatment of acute variceal bleeding.
