Precautions about machine vise :

(1) The machined surface of the workpiece must be higher than the jaws, otherwise the workpiece should be padded with parallel pads.
(2) In order to be clamped firmly and prevent the workpiece from loosening when planing, a relatively dry and neat plane must be tightened on the pad iron and jaws. After clamping, to hand pumping pad iron, such as loose, that the workpiece and pad iron fit is not good, the workpiece may move when planing. Should loosen the flat vise to re-clamp.
(4) when clamping poor rigidity of the workpiece, in order to prevent the deformation of the workpiece, should first make the weak part of the workpiece to support or pad solid.
(5) If the workpiece is processed by scribing, use scribing disc or internal caliper to align the workpiece.
