MPO/MTP   -trunkkabel is ontworpen voor glasvezelpatching met hoge dichtheid in datacenters die ruimtebesparend zijn en problemen met kabelbeheer verminderen. Met   MPO/MTP  -connectors en optische glasvezelkabel is deze kabel geoptimaliseerd voor 40G QSFP+ PLR4, 100G QSFP28 PSM4, 400G OSFP DR4/XDR4 en 400G QSFP-DD DR4/XDR4 optische directe aansluiting en datacentertoepassingen met hoge dichtheid.
