Storage Stability Stable for 2 years after receipt of order if stored under recommended conditions. After 2 years, the compound should be re-analyzed for chemical purity before use.
Toxicity Oral Acute oral LD50 for rats 54.5 mg/kg. 
Skin and eye Acute percutaneous LD50 for rabbits >2000 mg/kg. Non-irritant to the skin; virtually non-irritating to eyes (rabbits). No skin sensitization (guinea pigs). 
NOEL (1 y) for dogs 1.5 mg/kg daily. Non-teratogenic in rats (£2 mg/kg daily) and rabbits (8 mg/kg daily). 
ADI (JMPR) 0.02 mg/kg [1992].

Application Effective against a broad range of foliar pests, including Coleoptera, Diptera, Heteroptera, Homoptera, Lepidoptera and Orthoptera; it also controls some species of Acarina. Crops include cereals, citrus, cotton, fruit, grapes, ornamentals and vegetables.

1. Bifenthrin is synthetic pyrethroid insecticide with biochemical origins in the natural insecticide pyrethrum. It is a waxy solid with a color ranging from an off-white to a pale tan, and with a slightly sweet odor. It is almost insoluble in water.
2. Bifenthrin is used for the control of borers and termites in timber, insect pests in agricultural crops (bananas, apples, pears, ornamentals) and turf, as well as for general pest control (spiders, ants, fleas, flies, mosquitoes).
3. Due to its high toxicity to aquatic organisms, it is listed as a restricted use pesticide. It has a very low solubility in water and tends to bind to soil, which minimizes runoff into water sources.
