1: 301 steel introduction

     AISI 301 stainless steel (UNS S30100) is most susceptible to cold deformation strengthening. Its processing hardening rate is extremely high. With the increase of cold working amount, the tensile strength and yield strength will increase significantly. The response to work hardening is particularly important for structural parts, including angles and channels, which are expected to have additional strength and stiffness after fabrication.

    For hot rolled plate, usually the delivery condition is hot rolled, annealed/solid solution, black surface.

    For cold drawn bar, usually the delivery condition is cold drawn, annealed/QT, peeled/black surface
