DESCRIPTION:  
Appearance :  colorless, odorless crystal .
Melting Point:  71.8-72.3 ºC
Vapour Pressure:   0.293 mPa at 25 ºC .
Stability:  St able  in water 7100 mg/L  at 20 ºC   , soluble in 65og/L in methanol; 550g/L in benzene .

Toxicity:    Oral LD50 (Rat)> 669  mg/kg. Dermal LD50 (Rabbit) >3 , 100 mg/kg.

USES:    Metalaxyl is a systemic, benzenoid fungicide used in mixtures as a foliar spray for tropical and subtropical crops, as a soil treatment for control of soil-borne pathogens, and as a seed treatment to control downy mildews. Metalaxyl may be used on many different food crops, including tobacco, ornamentals, conifer, and turf applications.
