Phosphat wird durch chemische Synthese gewonnen. Sein Hauptbestandteil ist Hexahydrat, das bei einer Temperatur von etwa 50 Grad erhitzt wird. Es wird dann mit 4,7-Dichloroquinolin gemischt und saurem Waschen (pH 2,5-3,5), Alkali-Waschen (pH 9-10) und Wasser-Waschen (pH 7-8) unterzogen.
