Defcoat is a third-generation glucocorticoid with anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and increasing glycogen xenobiotic effects. Its effect is 10-20 times that of prednisol one and 40 times that of hydrocortis one. It has no mutagenic effect. The study with C14-labeled product showed that it is rapidly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract, with peak blood concentration after 1 to 2 h. The latter further metabolic process is similar to that of other glucocorticoids, and the T1/2 of the active metabolite is 2 h. In rats, it is mainly distributed in tissues such as kidney and hematopoietic system.
